I have a quilting frame used once by my grandmother. I have no talent for it and want to see it go to a good home. Its a wooden frame quilt, full size (8ft??) with all the parts. Are you interested?
Looking to join a quilt group. I live in Prospect Bay. Is there anything close to this area? Also interested in finding people with similar interests crafting, knitting, crocheting, etc.)
Hi,my mother was a quilter for many years in the valley. She has recently passed away and I have her quilting frame.I believe my father purchased it 20 years ago but it wasn’t long after that they sold their valley home and moved to an apartment where there wasn’t enough space to set up a large frame.I have been storing it here but would like to see it go to someone who could use it.Would your group be interested in it? It would be a lovely thought to think of a beautiful quilt being worked on in it.Please let me know if you can find a home for it.
Thanks,Nancy
My friend has a baby quilt that her mother did not finish before she died. She would like to have the quilt completed. Are there any quilters who might be interested in finishing it for her. She will pay.
Everything is done but the quilting. I have a photo but can’t seem to attach it. The dimensions are 100cm x 140cm.
Hi Ronnie,
If you would like to email me at mayflowerquiltersguild@gmail.com, you can attach a photo and I’ll check with our members to see if anyone would help get it finished.

Hi I am trying to contact your 2017 Retreat committee regarding the Retail outlet that is to be on site during your event. Your Contact Us page is not working.
Note: I replied to Jackie this morning.

Hi, I am thinking about joining your group. I don’t see dates for meetings beyond June. I take it you don’t meet in the summer. When is your next meeting.
Hello,
I am looking for an informal quilting group that I could participate in. Although my sisters and mother are long time quilters in CB, I have just started after my retirement.. I did take one course. They go to local church halls or community centres once a week to quilt with others and pick up tips. This is the type of group I would like to fine.
Hi Estelle,
Our Guild has the Atlantic Superstore on Joseph Howe Drive, Halifax, booked twice a month for informal “get togethers” for our quilters. Upcoming dates are Oct 23, Nov 6 & 20 and Dec 11. They meet from 9 am to 2 pm. The numbers of quilters varies and you don’t have to stay for the entire time. The fee is $3 to help cover the rental charges. I’ve also sent your request out to our membership as we have a number of informal groups (called Bees) and some of them might have openings.

Would it be possible to post on the site the recommended sizes/specifications for donation quilts that our guild is involved in making. I know it was listed in a newsletter earlier this year but I can’t find it. Thanks.

Hi Nancy,

We are looking for someone who is interested in doing a bedding set in a hot pink for us.
Information sent out to members in an email this morning.
Hi! Our guild is an associate member of the Mayflower Quilt Guild (the best LOL). Would it be possible to have a copy of your By-Laws?
PS: Looking forward to another great Retreat in 2015…can’t wait LOL!
